Summer Camp 2021 Announcement

Summer Camp 2021 Announcement

Dear Community,

We’re excited to share the news that we’re planning in-person and virtual camps for this summer!

Safety is our top priority as we navigate this new landscape of holding an in-person summer camp while children are not yet eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. We will be following L.A. County Public Health guidelines and safety protocols.

The in-person camp experience will be very different from previous years. We’re confident that the spirit of camp will come through strongly as we come together safely, both in-person and virtually.

Many more details will be shared next week, including extensive information on safety measures. In the meantime, here are some basics to know about in-person camp:

  • Capacity will be limited for campers and volunteers.

  • Campers will be in bands and have instrument instruction.

  • The Music Video Program will be offered.

  • Masks and physical distancing will be required.

  • Many activities will take place outside.

  • Campers and volunteers will be grouped in cohorts for the week.
  • There will not be a formal, public showcase. Instead, campers will perform for each other and volunteers at camp on Friday. Family and guests are not permitted at this time.

  • Volunteer roles, responsibilities, and time commitment will be different this year. Details coming next week!

  • We are seeking fully vaccinated volunteers for in-person camp sessions.

As we all know from this past year, things may change. We’ll be keeping a close eye on L.A. Country Public Health guidelines and protocols.

Virtual camp will focus on songwriting only. Instruments and previous experience are not required. We’re excited to bring back the popular Rock Camp Express experience from last summer!

Thank you for your patience as we’ve been reimagining what camp can look like this summer! More information will be shared when camper enrollment and volunteer signups open on Friday, May 7th.

We hope you are staying healthy, and we hope to see you this summer!
